Licensed Professional Counselor Intern

Licensed Professional Counselor Intern

7 Years of Mental Health Care Experience

I started by counseling journey in 2013 after completing my Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Houston.  I then went on to complete by Master of Art Degree in Counseling at Houston Graduate School of Theology. in 2018,  I am dedicated to working with individuals, families and couples to address and work through challenges they may face. Life can be difficult but with support through therapeutic processes, many of these circumstances can be conquered with just some guidance. I have worked in the mental health field for many years and specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families. Every individual is different therefore my therapeutic orientation is eclectic. However, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

I believe that being able to notice unhealthy or negative thoughts is the first step to improving your life. Positive self-talk can decrease anger, anxiety and depression while increasing your ability to have a more positive outlook.

Beginning the journey of healing and seeking therapy is not easy. It requires dedication to change and an understanding that the change comes from within oneself. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey as we work towards goals to help you become the person you want to be. "I am here for you Today, Tomorrow, and the Future."
